Groundhog Day 2018

By MAP Environmental Inc. | February 1, 2018

The 132nd year celebration of Groundhog Day will occur this year at Gobbler’s Knob on Friday, February 2nd, 2018.

This is the main event where Punxsutawney Phil, the Seer of Seers, the Prognosticator of Prognosticators, the world’s most famous groundhog and the only real weather predicting groundhog will greet his true believers and will reveal to the President of the Inner Circle of the Punxsutawney Groundhog Club his prediction for the end of winter” (http://www.groundhog.org/events/groundhog-day-events/).

As we embrace our 2018 goals at MAP Environmental, we will be tracking the Hampton Roads weather slightly more practically, relying on trusted meteorologists, experience, and some good old fashioned common sense.

Speaking of goals, our team will be celebrating the 20 year anniversary of our company, and as such we plan to thank our clients for accompanying us on this great journey. In addition, we are looking forward to groundbreaking and ribbon cutting ceremonies for two of our longstanding projects, along with our 15th Annual Church of the Ascension Youth Golf Classic, our continued Virginia Beach City Public Schools Partnership in Education, and the Save the Bay Day with Lynnhaven River Now.

While Punxsutawney Phil prepares to predict the end of winter, we at MAP Environmental are ready to embrace an exciting and successful 2018.
