Back in early April, MAP Environmental Inc. personnel took to the Virginia mountains and their annual hike along the Appalachian Trail (AT).

Donning hiking shorts and lightweight shirts, we navigated a small portion of the AT – roughly a 10- mile trek from Route 60 near Oronoco northward to Cole Mountain. This portion boast some of the most scenic vistas of the AT, including distant views of Buena Vista and Lexington to the west.

Ambling our way along roughly 7-8 % grades, we availed ourselves to the amazing and striking flora and fauna of the AT. It is always a blessing, especially in the Spring, to view God’s creation and His slice of heaven on earth.
