A “Brown Bag” Opportunity at Old Dominion University

By MAP Environmental Inc. | April 26, 2018

MAP Environmental Inc is actively engaged and committed to higher education, particularly in the field of environmental science.  Earlier this month – on April 10th –  Myles Pocta (President, MAP Environmental, Inc., Virginia Beach) and David Bradshaw (PE Principal, Clark Nexsen, Virginia Beach) co-presented to both graduate and undergraduate students at Old Dominion University’s College of Sciences brown bag series entitled “Careers in Science:  The Environmental and Engineering Professions”.

Both Myles and Dave, who have spent their careers as environmental and engineering professionals, spoke about their collaborative efforts and interesting projects over the past 20 years.   They provided many success stories and anecdotal experiences in the environmental and engineering consulting arena, covering a host of large projects throughout Hampton Roads.   Most importantly, their presentation offered a glimpse of the current and future job market and possible opportunities for environmental and engineering graduates.

As proud alum of Old Dominion University, both Myles and Dave enjoyed the student dialogue, engaged in healthy Q & A, and offered advice and encouragement to students seeking careers in these worthy professions!
